Background
In 2019 Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) of Germany had launched a contest on receiving Grants for the Establishment of German-Ukrainian CoEs in Ukraine. In the result of the first stage of contest the Project “DE/UA Center of Excellence for AI-aided Big Data Analysis and Transport Infrastructures” was selected as potential CoE.
The idea of building AIDA&TI CoE as a top research center for bleeding edge IT technologies in Ukraine was proposed by Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (Prof. Eduard Siemens) with the University of Konstanz (Prof. Daniel Keim) from Germany and is supported by top Ukrainian partners, including National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and Space Research Institute of National Academy of Science and of State Space Agency of Ukraine. Our Center of Excellence’s target is implementation of win-win cooperation strategy with public and private sector, including opening of high-tech markets and contribution to high-tech innovations in strategic areas such as health, climate change, geology, energy, financial, and business analytics, as well as active use of modern technologies to solve the priority tasks of the recovery of Ukraine from the war.
